Statement from the Brunner for Chief Justice Campaign regarding attack ad

"This dark money ad is just the type of divisive, fear-based nonsense that Ohioans are weary of. The ad unacceptably mischaracterizes serious legal cases. It is just what we would expect from special interests that think they own the Supreme Court and care nothing about protecting ordinary people's rights. The bail decision was a bi-partisan majority that included the Republican Chief Justice, and the defendant wasn’t even released on bail. Ohioans will see right through these useless negative attacks and vote to uphold fair and impartial courts and the rule of law."
